At the heart of the alpine pastures

Meet the herds ...

As you walk through the Belleville Valley, around Hautecourand Notre-Dame-du-Pré, you’re sure to come acrossherds of our local Tarentaise or Abondance cattle, as well as Alpine goats.

Imagine the lush green landscapes, surrounded by mountains, the local flowers drenching the meadows in colour and fragrance… what could be nicer? Don’t forget your camera so you can take your beautiful memories homewith you!

Perhaps you’ll also meet a farmer and exchange a few words with him, or perhaps visit his Alpine chalet where he makes his delicious cheese (Tomme, Beaufort, Sérac, Goat’s Cheese…).

L'Alpage des Combes

"Les Combes" Alpine Pasture in Les Belleville

A secluded, unspoilt place you shouldn’t miss the chance to explore! A little gem nestled at the heart of the mountains, accessible on foot, by bicycle, or by car from Deux Nants or La Flachère: the hamlet of La Sauce.

Les Combes Alpine Pasture is a 25-minute walk from La Sauce, where herds of cows graze from mid-June to late September. They move on at the end of the season, so it sometimes takes slightly longer to go and see the milking.

On site :

Milking from 3 pm (herds of Tarine and Abondance cows).
