New Year festivities

Come and celebrate the New Year in Val Thorens! There's plenty to do to celebrate.

SUNDAY 31 DECEMBER

- 3pm: Make-up workshops
For young and old, come and have your make-up done to celebrate the arrival of the New Year in colour.

- From 6.30pm: Torchlight descent by the ski instructors
Don't miss the unmissable torchlit descent orchestrated by our ESF and Ski Cool instructors, which will amaze young and old alike. Warm up with our free hot drinks and Pitch.

- 9pm - 12am: New Year's Eve Festivities
Join us for a memorable evening with DJ Guests Ju One and Retrovision! Electrifying atmosphere, light show and stage on the roof of the Board. Celebrate the new year in style!

- 6.30pm: Winter concert: All That Jazz
This trio performs standards by the great jazz pianists, from Duke Ellington to Dave Brubeck, and from Thelonius Monk to Herbie Hancock.

- 6pm: Haribo torchlight descent
Distribution of Haribo sweets, partner of the ESF, and hot drinks.
Registration for the children's torchlight descent with the ESF, at the Maison de Val Thorens.

THURSDAY 4 JANUARY

- 11 am: Children's workshop : My Christmas impressions
The Tourist Office is offering a range of fun, hands-on activities for little hands to discover, decorate and recycle while having fun.
Location: Maison de Val Thorens (Tourist Office)
4 children minimum and 8 maximum.
From 3 to 6 years old. A parent must be present.

- 11am to 5pm: Alaskan Games
Take part in a giant escape game throughout the resort on the theme of Alaska and solve all the mysteries given by the trapper!

From 5 years upwards

- 5pm-6pm: Draisienne
Your little skiers aged 3 to 5 can now discover the joys of winter sliding in a unique way with our draisienne ski programme in Val Thorens. Supervised by our expert instructors, your children will learn balance, coordination and confidence on the snow, while having fun in a safe environment.

- 6pm: children's show : Raconte-Moi Noël
A few days before Christmas, two sisters question the origins of the pagan customs and traditions of the festive season. They answer each other's questions as they ricochet from one tale to another to music, telling us from one end of the planet to the other the origins of the yule log, tinsel, Santa's reindeer and presents, in a magical setting.
