Villarlurin

Just a few kilometres from several wintersports resorts such as Moûtiers, and the thermal spa resorts of Salins-les-Thermes, Brides-les-Bains and La Léchère, Villarlurin has been able to hold onto the peaceful tranquillity of a small village with an enviable way of life.

This village boasts a rich natural heritage in terms of wildlife and plantlife (the “Bois Champion” nature zone is listed as being of special ecological, wildlife and floral interest).

One of the major reasons for its listed status is the presence of some wild orchid species dotted among the undergrowth including 2 protected species: theLady’s Slipper orchid and the Gymnadenia odoratissima.
